This photograph is from August 30th, 2020 and was captured somewhere near Taos, New Mexico. It’s a photograph of a campfire in a circular fire pit made with concrete pavers.

My friends Alex and Ryan planned a stunning road trip through the American Southwest. We drove from Denver to Telluride in Colorado, through Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque in New Mexico, and through Sedona and the Grand Canyon in Arizona, before catching departing flights out of Las Vegas in Nevada. Along the way, we stopped for hikes through the aspens and red rocks, a swim in a canyon slide, and a helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon. Oh and I also made sure to request an Airbnb with a fire pit. If you dry out your logs before adding them to the fire, they tend to burn better hehe.
